New Year Reflections

I love the beginning of a new year.  A whole year ahead, full of memories yet to be experienced, new possibilities and a fresh new calendar. {I love this planner and this one}  I sometimes make resolutions; but I realize I have made some of the same resolutions year after year.  Do you have any of those?  Those resolutions that keeping coming back?

Today, I am setting new goals but I am enjoying some time reflecting on the past year.  Grateful for the lessons learned and God’s countless blessings.  In the new year, I want to focus more…On God, on family and on rising above the “noise” of the world.

For focus in January I have chosen this word:  Joy!

I am in a season of change as my children are finding their independence.  I don’t want worry or concern to cloud my days.  Goal Romans 12:12:

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Over Christmas, we talked with our kids about theme words to focus on for the year.  It was interesting to hear their reasons for choosing words like determination and confidence.  What word would you chose?  Do you make resolutions?  Set goals?

May 2018 be a year for us to Spur love and good deeds.
